happy baking day! ^^

Photobucket

i'm so happy! i get to bake to my heart's content today! heee.. earlier today, my housemate and I went to Mydin! at first i didn't really want to make the cake since my wallet was dangerously thin, but after a quick consultation with my otherself, i headed to the ATM and withdraw me some money for the baking supplies!

the first batch was kinda weird. the mug that i used was rather small, and the cake mixture even overflowed inside the microwave! the that cake was supposed to be INSIDE the mug is now covering all over it! it was rather tasteless. eventhough i added more cocoa than what was suggested, i can't really say that the mug cake was chocolatey enough. or maybe i'm just too big of a chocoholic to taste it! but my housemates said that it was ok, and rather tasty, so i decided to go out and have everyone to taste!

but, there was not enough to go around.. i went back to my unit. then, Dell showed up. she had just arrived here at casa from her house, so she didn't get the chance to have a taste. so, i decided to whip up another batch for her! ^^ this time i put less flour and more cocoa, and it tastes better. to prevent the mixture from overflowing, i did the mixture in a different mug, then transfered half of it into the clay mug and bake for 2:45 minutes. the result : a better looking cake with a better taste! dell brought the cake to her unit and shared it with her housemate, until there was no more. lol.

then i realised it! Gkah's unit haven't had a taste yet! using the left over from the 2nd batch, i decided to bake another one using a bowl instead of a mug for 2 minutes. but it turned out kinda dry and hard, due to over baking. haiz. and so, i did another batch! it was good, and i get to share it with everyone!

i went home. haha. it turns out that Ain who is my own housemate still haven't got a taste. so i baked the remaining from the third batch inside the mug for 2:15 minutes. but unfortunately, it got burned. ==" i guess i was having a hard time estimating the baking time for the leftovers. you could actually see smoke coming out from a hole in the center of the cake. lolZ.

and so, i did the 4th batch of the day! everyone ate it, and they lived happily ever after.... (=^_________^=)

*the mug cake must be eaten right after it is baked, since it tends to get hard and crispy and crusty. so, x leh la bawak pegi kolej.. heee..

*no pictures were taken since the cake was err.. 'volatile'. it disappears into thin air like dry ice left out under the sun. lolZ.
