Harry Mason, The Loving Father.

Photobucket

finally. i finished playing Silent Hill: Shattered Memories before college starts. T_T now i don't have THAT much of regret. haha. but seriously, i was a bit disappointed because the game is kinda short. i mean, i finished the whole thing in less than 12 hours! haha. that is like seconds compared to GTA San Andreas. (which too me like a year? and still counting. haiz)

it's not that scary. -_____-" at least not to me. i was a bit paranoid in the first few minutes of playing, like i would check every door before opening it, and i would open it slowly, expecting for things to come out and jump at me. but then, i was like, what a waste of time! let's get this over with! xD i was running around, solving puzzles, and acting like such a experienced burglar. the puzzles are fun! i just wish there were more of them. ~_~

and i actually cried at the ending since i find it sad. sobs.

you'll be playing a father, named Harry Mason, who had a car crash. upon waking up, u realized that ur 7 year old daughter named Cheryl is missing for the car seat, and search out tirelessly for her. since a lot of roads are blocked due to some bad ass snow storm, u are required to find new routes to get to the pre-determined check points. after some check points, u'll find ur self sitting in a chair, going thru a counseling session. then, u go back to the 'real world'. haha.

and apart from the regular running around in the neighborhood, there are these "Nightmares." basically, u are required to run to a destination while these freakishly scary monsters jumps out at ya! WHOA. and the only thing u can do is run. i don't really have a problem with running away from monsters, i just have a hard time running towards the check point since, come on! i can't use my phone GPS while running like a mad dog! so i just resort to my natural gaming instinct and OWNZ! hahaha!

owh, i might as well spoil the ending for ya. actually, Harry Mason died in that car crash when Cheryl is 7 years old. it turns out that Harry Mason had a fight with his wife before the car crash (the wife was hitting Harry and calls him a loser since he's only a writer who can't provide much for the family?), and Cheryl has never stop blaming her mom for his father's death. from the opening trailer, u can see how much Cheryl loves her father. and owh. the one who sits at the counseling session is actually the 25 year old Cheryl (a complete mess), who still haven't accepted the fact that her father died. well, that is according to my profile. there are different endings for everyone, if i'm not mistaken.

//off to San Andreas. haiz.
